Application Deadline: April 10, 2009

Description from Acumen Fund's website:

"Acumen Fund is hosting its first annual workshop for student leaders on May 28th-30th, 2009 in New York City. Sessions will focus on Acumen Fund and its model, types of enterprises and investors within the social enterprise sector, ideas for skill development and career planning, and opportunities for leadership and engagement in the sector. We are particularly interested in engaging students who want to lead efforts to engage others in social enterprise on their campuses, and will provide time to explore ways of doing this.Throughout the weekend, we hope not only to develop your skills and knowledge about enterprise development and social venture capital, but also to learn from you about how Acumen Fund can be a stronger partner with young people. It will be an intimate workshop with 20-25 students, giving you the opportunity to get to know Acumen Fund, our community, and each other. Please note that to apply for this workshop, you need to complete a mini-project, so please be sure to read through this entire application as early as possible."
